Category 3

This category will contain all cards that are banned and restricted, proving to be too powerful or too impactful and limiting tournament deck diversity and meta health. Currently, Sword of Avarice, Reckless Conversion, and Crystal of Empowerment are banned. There are no changes to this category at this time.

Category 2

This category contains cards that we consider very problematic and are heavily watched for potential future legality changes and category shifts.

Category 1

This category consists of cards that we don’t consider problematic in the current environment, but are unhealthy for future balance and game design space. This category currently has five cards with the addition of Corhazi Outlook and the removal of Varuck and Freezing Hail.

Corhazi Outlook is a card we're taking a closer look at and monitoring for future meta shifts as well as considerations for game design. On its own, we feel that its ability may be too accessible in terms of preventing interaction in Grand Archive. As a result, we are adding Corhazi Outlook to Category 1.

As for the removal of Varuck and Freezing Hail, we are satisfied with the current place and function of these cards in the meta and no longer hold the concerns we previously did about their reducing design space for champions.
