With the release of Abyssal Heaven in full swing, let’s take a look at all things regionals for the upcoming season!

Overview

Grand Archive Regionals are Swiss style tournaments which award the top placing players Nationals Qualifier Cards in addition to other prizes.

These cards will be worth 3 Nationals Qualifier Points toward the 2026 Nationals events. Please note that while some of these events take place prior to the upcoming Nationals, the qualifier cards are not redeemable for points until next year.

Prizing

Upon entry, players will receive Abyssal Heaven Event Packs, Abyssal Heaven Booster Packs, the new Regionals Binder, as well as the new Abyssal Heaven Sapphire Pack!

Sapphire packs are Regionals exclusive packs which contain a single foil card each, from the cards exclusive to the most recent line of preconstructed decks. These cards are not available in foil outside of Sapphire packs. For the Abyssal Heaven season, the cards exclusive to Re:Collection: Heaven’s Favored and Re:Collection: Idyll Corsage will be available in these packs.

The regional binder this season is the same style as the one from the Mortal Ambition season, except this one has a solid black background and features Kongming and Guo Jia on the cover. These will be exclusive to participating in events in person, so the online regionals will not have these available to players. Here’s a look at the new binders!

Players who place well in the event will earn playmats based on the final standings. A finalist playmat will be given to all players who earn a Nationals Qualifier Card (Top 4/8/16/32 depending on attendance), while the player who finishes in first place will receive a Champion playmat. This season, the finalist playmat features the art of Seiryuu’s Command, while the champion playmat features the art of Shriveling Vines. Here’s a first look at these two exclusive playmats!

Of course, the most important prize is the Nationals Qualifier Card. This season we are updating to a new system where these cards will be serialized and in their Collector Rare form right from the very beginning! The card players can win this season is a new art of Mandate of Honor! This card will serve as 3 Nationals Qualifier Points towards entry at the 2026 Nationals.

HVN Regional List

You’ll notice that we are continuing the tradition from last year by having a regional placed on the second day of each Nationals event this year. This way, players who don’t progress in the tournament will have the opportunity to play in the regional instead.
